Project: Employee Attendance Tracker
Brief Description: Database application designed to monitor and log employee attendance issues.
Extended Description: This program is designed for use by businesses of any size to monitor employee attendance records. In its present state, it only monitors failures to arrive at work as scheduled. Infractions are assigned a point value, low point values indicating minor infractions. Each time an employee commits an infraction, the record is stored and the value of that infraction is added to his account. Nightly maintenance can be set to automatically remove a certain amount of points after a set period of time, for example removing 3 points every 7 days. Disciplinary actions are labeled using a tier system, defined by the user, at four levels of intervention: verbal warning, written warning, suspension, and termination. The Tracker program is designed to work with either a local database isolated on a single computer, with a Microsoft SQL Server database, or a MySQL Server database.
Development status: Seeking beta tester assistance.

Development notes: This has been a heck of a learning experience for me. So far, in the process of creating this application, I've learned alot about ODBC, SQL queries, MySQL server, user-defined types, object orientated programming, and developing ActiveX DLLs. This started as a simple project... no, really it did. Bear with me here. ;) Then I got this great idea in my head... "Say... I bet this would work great with SQL..." and then it worked less. :) Then somebody taught me the magic of ActiveX DLLs and I started moving critical code into them and it worked pretty much not at all. "If it ain't broke, fix it until it is." *ahem*
To do:
- Obtain a copy of Microsoft SQL Server Personal Edition
- Impliment support for Microsoft SQL Server
- Complete report generator
To add in future:
- Track attendance in general? (Clock in, lunch out, lunch in, clock out)
Discussion group: Tracker forum on Game Master's OBB Forums.
